Approximately 17–20% chromium, 8–11% nickel, and columbium (niobium) for stabilisation make up the austenitic stainless steel alloy known as Stainless Steel 348 Angle. Better performance in high-temperature applications is made possible by this composition, which also increases its resistance to intergranular corrosion, particularly after welding. The tensile and yield strengths of SS 348 are approximately 515 MPa and 205 MPa, respectively. It is appropriate for demanding structural and thermal environments because it retains good mechanical qualities at high temperatures, such as exceptional creep strength and stress rupture resistance.
