EN 1.4003 Stainless Steel Ferritic stainless steel sheets and plates have a controlled carbon content for reliable performance, 12–16% chromium, up to 0.10% carbon, and trace manganese, silicon, and nickel. In mildly corrosive environments, they show resistance to corrosion. Durability and ductility are guaranteed by mechanical characteristics such as tensile strength of 450–600 MPa, yield strength of 205–300 MPa, elongation of 22–35%, and hardness between 150–200 HV.
