About 22–24% chromium, 12–15% nickel, and a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%) are used to improve the high-temperature strength and creep resistance of stainless steel 309H Channels. This grade of austenitic stainless steel is dependable in conditions up to 1000°C and has outstanding oxidation resistance. With an elongation of roughly 40%, SS 309H offers a tensile strength of about 550 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa. It is perfect for structural applications in high-heat and chemically aggressive environments because of its mechanical qualities, which also include exceptional corrosion and thermal resistance.
