With 24–26% chromium and 19–22% nickel, Stainless Steel 310S is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with a low carbon content (maximum 0.08%) to reduce carbide precipitation. At high temperatures, this composition offers exceptional resistance to oxidation and corrosion. Because of its exceptional creep resistance and tensile strength of roughly 515–700 MPa, SS 310S is appropriate for thermal applications. High toughness, ductility, and good weldability are guaranteed by its austenitic microstructure, which also preserves mechanical stability in harsh conditions and high temperatures.
