About 70% copper and 30% nickel make up Copper Nickel 70/30 Coils and Slitting Coils, with trace amounts of iron and manganese added for strength and corrosion resistance. In seawater environments, this alloy demonstrates exceptional resistance to stress corrosion, cracking, oxidation, and biofouling, in addition to its exceptional thermal and electrical conductivity. Good elongation for formability, a yield strength of 150–300 MPa, and a tensile strength of 500–700 MPa are important mechanical characteristics.
