Commercially pure wrought nickel with a minimum nickel content of 99.6% is known as Nickel Alloy 201 Coil. Iron, manganese, carbon (up to 0.02%), sulphur, and silicon are among the trace elements it contains. High tensile strength (about 403 MPa), yield strength (about 103 MPa), and remarkable ductility are just a few of this alloy’s outstanding mechanical qualities. It provides exceptional resistance to neutral salts, acids, and alkalis. Nickel Alloy 201’s low carbon content increases its resistance to graphitisation, which makes it perfect for use at temperatures higher than 315°C, where Alloy 200 could embrittle.
