About 90% titanium, 6% aluminium, and 4% vanadium make up Titanium Grade 5 Coil, also referred to as Ti-6Al-4V. This alpha-beta alloy has outstanding thermal stability, corrosion resistance, and strength-to-weight ratio. It has good ductility and fatigue resistance, with a tensile strength of about 895 MPa and a yield strength of about 828 MPa. When annealed, the alloy has outstanding weldability and a melting point close to 1660°C. For high-performance applications needing both structural strength and resistance to harsh environments, titanium grade 5 is perfect.
