Stainless Steel 418 is a martensitic alloy known for its high toughness and corrosion resistance. It mainly contains 12-14% chromium, 0.15-0.40% carbon, and small amounts of manganese, silicon, phosphorus and sulphur. Provides excellent durability and resistance to damage after heat treatment. Technical properties of stainless steel 418 include tensile strengths of 650 to 850 MPa, yield strengths of about 400-550 MPa, and elongations of about 15-25% This grade is suitable for applications requiring high strength and increased corrosion resistance.
