These alloys are usually composed of 56–59% nickel, 14.5–16.5% molybdenum, 15–16.5% chromium, 3–4.5% tungsten, and trace amounts of iron and cobalt. The foils are perfect for harsh environments because of these alloys’ exceptional resistance to oxidising and reducing agents. Hastelloy foils have high ductility, stability at high temperatures, and exceptional mechanical strength (tensile strength up to 100 ksi).
