Super Duplex Steel typically contains ~25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3.5% molybdenum, with added nitrogen and minimal carbon. This dual-phase microstructure (ferritic and austenitic) gives it excellent strength and corrosion resistance. It offers high yield strength (around 550 MPa) and tensile strength (approximately 800 MPa), nearly twice that of conventional stainless steels. Super Duplex also exhibits excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion in chloride-rich environments. Its toughness and weldability make it ideal for heavy-duty applications in harsh environments without compromising mechanical integrity.
