With a carbon content of up to 0.10% and an alloy of 22–24% chromium and 12–15% nickel, stainless steel 309H is a high-carbon austenitic stainless steel that improves strength at high temperatures. It also contains trace amounts of sulphur, silicon, and manganese. With a tensile strength between 550 and 750 MPa, SS 309H provides exceptional mechanical strength along with good creep resistance at high temperatures. Excellent oxidation resistance and structural stability under heat stress are provided by its austenitic structure, which makes it perfect for heat-intensive applications while preserving good formability and weldability.
