Nickel (38–46%), iron (balance), chromium (19.5–23.5%), molybdenum (2.5–3.5%), copper (1.5–3%), and titanium (0.6–1.2%) make up the corrosion-resistant nickel-iron-chromium alloy Incoloy 825 Channel. It provides outstanding defence against reducing and oxidising acids, especially phosphoric and sulphuric acid. About 585 MPa is the alloy’s tensile strength, 220 MPa is its yield strength, and 30% is its elongation. Incoloy 825 is appropriate for structural applications in extremely corrosive environments because it has good weldability and formability and retains its mechanical qualities over a broad temperature range.
