In order to improve resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, Duplex Steel Foil is made of a balanced microstructure of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel, usually with 22–25% chromium, 4–7% nickel, 0.1–0.3% nitrogen, and 2–3% molybdenum. With remarkable resistance to stress corrosion, cracking, and erosion, this dual-phase alloy has a tensile strength of 620–800 MPa and a yield strength of 450–600 MPa. Even in extremely cold temperatures, it offers high impact toughness. Duplex Steel Foils are appropriate for harsh and corrosive industrial settings due to their mechanical strength and resistance to corrosion.
