A non-heat-treatable alloy, aluminium 3003 is primarily made of aluminium with 1.0–1.5% manganese, which increases the alloy’s strength compared to pure aluminium. Small amounts of iron and copper may also be present. With a yield strength of roughly 115 MPa and a tensile strength between 130 and 200 MPa, this alloy provides moderate strength. It has good formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance. Aluminium 3003 is perfect for applications needing both durability and ease of fabrication because it can be cold-worked to improve mechanical performance even though it cannot be heat-treated for increased strength.
