Hastelloy sheets and plates are nickel-based superalloys with exceptional corrosion resistance in harsh chemical environments, especially those in grades C276 and C22. Nickel (56–59%), chromium (14–22%), molybdenum (12–17%), and trace amounts of iron, cobalt, and tungsten are typical compositions. While Hastelloy C22 contains 20–22% Cr and 12–14% Mo, Hastelloy C276 contains approximately 15–17% Mo, 14–16% Cr, and 4–7% Fe. High performance in challenging conditions is ensured by mechanical properties such as tensile strength of 75–90 ksi (515–620 MPa), yield strength of 30–60 ksi (205–415 MPa), and elongation of 30–40%.
