47.5% nickel, 22–23% chromium, 17–18% iron, 8–9% molybdenum, and trace amounts of cobalt, tungsten, and other elements make up Hastelloy X Sheets and Plates. Outstanding high-temperature corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and structural integrity are imparted by this special blend. Tensile strength ranges from 655 to 860 MPa (95 to 125 ksi), yield strength ranges from 240 to 380 MPa (35 to 55 ksi), and elongation ranges from 35 to 50%. Hastelloy X is a preferred material in harsh operating environments like jet engines and combustion systems because of these qualities as well as its exceptional resistance to thermal fatigue.
