The composition of Inconel 600, a nickel-chromium alloy, is 72% nickel, 14–17% chromium, and 6–10% iron, with trace amounts of carbon, silicon, and manganese. Excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion is provided by this composition, particularly at high temperatures. In terms of mechanical properties, it provides elongation of 35–50%, yield strength of 210–550 MPa, and tensile strength of 485–690 MPa. Up to 2000°F (1093°C), it maintains its resistance and mechanical integrity. Because of these characteristics, Inconel 600 is the perfect material for high-temperature, high-performance applications in a variety of industries.
