The nickel-copper alloys that make up Monel K500 Foils are composed of roughly 63% nickel, 27–33% copper, and the minor but essential additions of titanium (0.35–0.85%) and aluminium (2.3–3.15%). Its precipitation hardening, which gives it more strength than Monel 400, is caused by these alloying elements. Even at high temperatures, Monel K500 foils have exceptional mechanical qualities, such as a high yield strength and a tensile strength of up to 160 ksi. In fast-moving seawater and chemical solutions, they resist stress-corrosion cracking and erosion while maintaining exceptional corrosion resistance in marine and chemical environments.
