With controlled additions of carbon (max 0.03%) and nitrogen, stainless steel 253MA Channel is a sophisticated heat-resistant alloy with a tensile strength of approximately 620 MPa, yield strength of 290 MPa, and an elongation of 30% in 50 mm. Its remarkable creep resistance and anti-scaling behavior make it perfect for extended use in extreme heat environments. The alloy is composed of approximately 20–22% chromium, 4.5–5.5% nickel, 1.5–2.5% silicon, and 0.6–1.0% manganese.
