Chromium (24–26%) and nickel (19–22%) make up the majority of stainless steel 310 sheets and plates, with iron, carbon, manganese, and silicon added in balance. At high temperatures up to 1150°C, this chemical composition provides exceptional resistance to oxidation and corrosion. Mechanically, SS 310 has an elongation of about 40%, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and a tensile strength of roughly 515 MPa.
