Titanium is added to increase resistance to sensitization, particularly after welding, which makes it ideal for welded and high-temperature applications. With a tensile strength of about 515 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa, these foils have outstanding mechanical strength. Along with good toughness and formability, even at high temperatures, the alloy also provides outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in environments rich in chloride.
