Stainless Steel 347H is an austenitic stainless steel alloy that is high in carbon and stabilised by niobium (Columbium). It is made up of roughly 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and 0.04–0.10% carbon. At higher temperatures, this composition increases creep strength and improves resistance to intergranular corrosion. It has good elongation and toughness, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and a tensile strength of about 515 MPa. Stainless steel 347H is appropriate for pressure-retaining and heat-exposed structures because it has good weldability and retains mechanical integrity in high-temperature service environments.
