Stainless Steel 348H Angle is an austenitic, high-carbon, niobium-stabilized stainless steel with a carbon content of more than 0.04%. It contains 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and niobium (columbium). Particularly after welding, this composition increases resistance to intergranular corrosion and high-temperature strength. Excellent creep and stress rupture properties at high temperatures are provided by SS 348H, which also has a tensile strength of about 515 MPa and a yield strength of about 205 MPa. It is appropriate for applications involving demanding structural environments and continuous high heat exposure due to its mechanical robustness and thermal stability.
