In comparison to standard 348, stainless steel 348H has a higher carbon content of 0.04–0.10% and is a stabilised austenitic stainless steel alloy with 17–20% chromium, 8–12% nickel, and columbium (niobium) for stabilisation. At high temperatures, this composition offers outstanding resistance to creep and stress rupture.
