The main component of stainless steel 465 Circle is iron, with additions of titanium, molybdenum, and aluminium, as well as 11–12% chromium and 1.5–2.5% nickel. The alloy is martensitic and age-hardenable. High strength, toughness, and moderate corrosion resistance are all uniquely combined in this composition. Following heat treatment, SS 465 can maintain good fracture toughness while achieving a yield strength of over 1275 MPa and a tensile strength of up to 1390 MPa.
