Nitrogen, 6–8% nickel, 3–5% molybdenum, and 24–26% chromium are usually included in the composition. A PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) higher than 40 is a result of these factors. The material has an elongation of 25%, a tensile strength of about 800 MPa, and a minimum yield strength of 550 MPa.
